Athletic career

In 2005, Toofan Salafzoon joined the Iranian kickboxing team and began competing in various national and international tournaments and championships. Two years later, in 2007, he participated in the European and Russian (K1-RUIIS) amateur level, where he earned the bronze medal in the 70kg weight class. He continued to excel, and in 2008, he competed in the Asian Cups held in Anape, Russia, and secured another bronze medal in the 70kg category. His dedication and hard work in the sport have made him a highly respected and admired athlete not only in Iran but also internationally.

One year later, in 2008, he was ready to compete in the International Kickboxing Festival in Tehran at the amateur level. He gloried in this cup and won the Gold medal in 75kg. In 2009, he tried his chance at the Spanish international tournament and caught a bronze medal on 72kg. This was his last competition at the amateur level. 

Toofan’s professional career started in 2011 when he was 27 and ready for his first competition in the Muaythai Toyota Cup. He was the first Iranian man to compete in this tournament. He won the first game in 75kg, but because of an injury in his left eye, he couldn’t continue the other games and lost his medal to his competitor, Benjamak.

In 2012, Toofan won the World Kickboxing Federation (WKF) World Championship with a gold medal. In the same year, he competed in both international cups. At the WKF European Championship and World Muaythai Federation (WMF) World Championship, he won gold medals. 

In 2014, in the Türkiye tournament, he won the silver medal in 70kg.

In 2015, he competed at the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA) World Championship and caught the golden medal.

He continued his racing activities in 2016 and gained the WMF World Championship gold medal.

In 2018 he can catch the last gold medal at the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) World Championship.

In 2021, he competed in the Turkey competition and lost his game. 

Between 2005 to 2021, Toofan competed in the many kickboxing national match and won multiple gold medals at the Iranian National Championships.
